  • The real surprise to me is that almost 16% of respondents have their heads tucked so far into the deep dark that common sense is akin to a foreign language to them. The man wanted to kill us - do you 16% not read anything? We couldn't try him because we didn't have him in custody.

  • Maher was never mainstream enough to be taken seriously as a political pundit. His views are often far outside the mainstream and can be dismissed by many. You can't dismiss Stewart. The key trick with Stewart is he appears just like us and asks the questions we would like to ask.

  • I'm closing in on 69 years old and have been a news junkie for the majority of those years. The mainstream news reports the news and virtually never asks truly probing questions. Moreover they rarely challenge blatant falsehoods and simply report them with very little comment.
